The Evos Team
Evos is the working name of out smartphone game we are working.
This group came together after having worked on Evos in the Unreal Engine for a project in a midterm class. After the class had finished the Evos team decided they wanted to continue developing Evos through to completion. We are however currently in the process of changing engines, while we enjoy the Unreal environment we feel we will have more success with an environment more focused on smartphone design. As this is the new project within Redshift the Evos group consists of three programmers at the moment. As we begin to get the mechanics into the game we will begin to search for an artist and musician, however the date for that is TBD as many of us are currently preparing to graduate and working on our senior projects.

About Evos
Evos is intended to be a creature breeder style of game. The back story is still a work in progress, however, and Evo is a creature that the player can raise, feed, interact with, race, fight, breed, and much more. Evos all have stats that can be affected by the kinds of food the player feeds it. As an Evos stats increase the Evo's body will change to reflect the dominant or higher stat. Evos come in a variety of colors as well, these different colored Evo can be bred in order to obtain new and rarer styles.
Within the Evo game world there are two types of mini games. One is the player mini game, which involves only the player and the stats on the Evo are irrelevant. These mini games will be the primary source of income for the player as they collect money in order to feed and care for their Evo. The second type are Evo mini games. Thes involve the Evo, running, swimming, fighting or doing other activities and their success is based on how well they were raised in each stat. Success in these mini games will primarily reward the player with trophies, trinkets, or toys for the Evo to play with.
Our goal is to create a casual game that a player can pick up for 5-10 minutes at a time, play a mini game and be done. While still offering the long term goal of raising, breeding, and obtaining new styles of Evo.
